A Simple, Sacred Hour by the Ocean
Join a welcoming community in Ocean Beach for worship, music, reflection, and shared table.
Visiting a new church can feel like stepping into the unknown.
What will it be like?
Will I fit in?
What actually happens during the service?
At Resurrection OB, our hope is simple:
That you’ll feel welcomed, comfortable, and free to participate at your own pace.
Whether you come full of faith, full of questions, or somewhere in between, there is space for you here.
What to Expect
When you arrive at Resurrection OB, you’ll be greeted warmly at the door. You can expect a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere—one where you can choose to meet new people or simply sit quietly if you prefer.
We have coffee and tea available before, after, and even during the service, so feel free to help yourself at any time—that’s part of the casual nature here.
During the service, you’ll find a blend of beautiful music, shared prayers, and thoughtful reflections
Don’t worry if you’re new to liturgical worship—everything is explained as we go, and you can join in at your own pace.
Many people leave with a sense of connection, a song in their heart, and the reminder that none of us are walking this journey alone.
The Rhythm of Our Worship
sing together
pray together
reflect on Scripture
share Holy Communion
Each Sunday we gather to:
Our worship is rooted in ancient Christian tradition, but our community is informal and welcoming.
Everything you need to participate is included in the bulletin or on the screens, so you don’t need to know anything ahead of time.
We love kids.
Children are always welcome in worship, and we embrace the sounds and energy they bring.
We also have a Godly Play children’s area within the worship space where kids can explore stories, activities and participate in worship with a trained childcare worker while parents and guardians remain nearby.
During Communion, children even have their own small table setting where they can follow along and participate in communion in the Godly Play space.
We follow strong safety protocols so families can feel confident and supported.
Our services begin at 10 AM every Sunday and last about one hour.
Many people arrive early or stay afterward to sip coffee and chat with a new found family of faith.
There is always space at the table.
