F.A.Q.

Sunday Logistics

What Time & How Long?

Our services begin at 10 AM every Sunday and last about one hour.

Many people arrive early or stay afterward to sip coffee and chat with friends.

Where Are You Located?

We’re located at:

2083 Sunset Cliffs Blvd
in Ocean Beach on what locals sometimes call “church row.”

If you take public transportation, MTS Route 923 stops nearby.

Where Should I Park?

Our parking lot is located behind the church off Brighton Avenue.

Follow the signs to enter through the double red doors on Sunset Cliffs Boulevard.

What Should I Wear?

Come as you are.

You’ll see people in everything from beachwear and sandals to jeans and casual shirts.

We’re an informal community, and the most important thing is that you feel comfortable.

What About Kids?

We love kids.

Children are always welcome in worship, and we embrace the sounds and energy they bring.

We also have a Godly Play children’s area within the worship space where kids can explore stories and activities with a trained childcare worker while parents and guardians remain nearby.

We follow strong safety protocols so families can feel confident and supported.

Who Can Participate?

Everyone.

At Resurrection OB we believe that every person reflects the image of God.

People of all:

  • abilities

  • ages

  • ethnicities

  • gender identities

  • political leanings

  • races

  • religious traditions

  • sexual orientations

  • socio-economic backgrounds

are welcome to participate fully in the life of this found family of faith.

What Do You Believe?

We are part of The Episcopal Church, a Christian tradition that began in England in the 1500s.

Our faith is rooted in the historic creeds of the Christian church, with the teachings and life of Jesus at the center.

At the same time, the Episcopal tradition encourages thoughtful faith, honest questions, and a commitment to compassion, justice, and human dignity.

Do I need to know anything about the Episcopal tradition?

Not at all. Everything is explained as we go, and the bulletin and screens includes everything you need to follow along and participate at your own pace.

What if I’m not sure I believe everything yet?

That’s perfectly okay. Many people in our community are exploring faith and asking questions. You don’t have to have everything figured out to belong here.

What are your Questions?

You might have questions we haven’t covered here — and that’s completely okay.

Faith journeys are personal, and every story is a little different.

If there’s something you’re wondering about, we’d genuinely love to hear from you. Whether it’s a practical question, a spiritual curiosity, or simply wanting to say hello, feel free to reach out.

If past experiences with church have left you cautious or unsure, you’re not alone. We’re always glad to begin conversations at whatever pace feels comfortable for you.

Send us an email and we’ll be happy to connect and continue the conversation.

There’s always room for honest questions here.
