No financial expertise required. Open to everyone in the community, whether Resurrection is your church home or you're simply looking for a place to learn.
Anchor Station (pilot program)
Anchor Station launches on Wednesday, September 16! We’re starting small, listening carefully, and learning together how we can better serve our neighbors. This three-month pilot at Resurrection Church and the Episcopal Church Center in Ocean Beach will offer a welcoming place for our unhoused neighbors to connect with a PATH caseworker, identify needs, and find helpful resources and referrals.

Resurrection's Birthday
Stick around after worship on Sunday, September 13, as we celebrate Resurrection’s birthday and hold our Annual Meeting!
We’ll take a little time to look back with gratitude at what God has done among us over the past year, hear a few updates about the life of Resurrection, and look ahead to where we believe God is leading us next.
And because no birthday should be all business, we’ll celebrate with food, fellowship, and plenty of joy. Whether you’ve been part of Resurrection from the beginning or found your way to us recently, you’re part of the story—and we hope you’ll join us!
Sunday Worship
Resurrection meets every Sunday at 10:00 AM at 2083 Sunset Cliffs Boulevard in Ocean Beach. Each Sunday, we meet friends, sip coffee, sing, pray, and meditate on Scripture together.
Spiritual Reflections
Spiritual Reflections is a spiritual support group for our unhoused neighbors, grounded in Ignatian spiritual practices. The group is open to all interested in exploring a relationship with the God of their understanding.

OB Beach Clean Up
Join other Resurrection folks for Surfrider’s monthly First Saturday Beach Cleanup! We’ll meet at 1910 Abbott Street and spend the morning caring for one of the things that makes our neighborhood so special—our beach.
Cleanup supplies will be available, but quantities are limited. If you have your own gloves, trash grabber, or reusable bag, please bring them along. And don’t forget a reusable water bottle!
Look for Rain when you arrive to find the Resurrection crew. Come for the whole cleanup or whatever time you can give. All are welcome!

1946: Film Screening & Discussion
Join us at Resurrection for a screening of the documentary 1946, which explores how biblical translation shaped the modern use of the word "homosexual" and the profound impact that translation has had on LGBTQIA+ people and the Church.
After the film, we'll host a panel conversation featuring our friends Colby Martin and Molly Downs-Stoller, and Rev. Shelly Shepherd.
If you know someone who has wrestled with questions about the Bible, faith, and LGBTQIA+ inclusion, this would be a wonderful event to invite them to.

Pride Summer Hang!

Sunday Worship
Join us at 10:00 AM as we celebrate Pride Sunday at Resurrection. We are honored to welcome The Rev. Canon Beth Scriven as our preacher and celebrant. Together we'll reflect on Jesus' Parable of the Wheat and the Weeds (Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43), a story that invites us to trust God's wisdom, resist quick judgments, and make room for grace to grow. As always, all are welcome as we gather around Scripture, prayer, and the Communion table.
Resurrection at SD Pride
Resurrection will once again be marching in the San Diego Pride Parade on July 18. Before the parade begins, we'll gather near Richmond and University Avenues at 9 AM for a brief Eucharist and then join thousands of others in celebrating the dignity, belovedness, and inclusion of LGBTQIA+ people. If you'd like to march with Resurrection, contact Rev. Shelly Shepherd to coordinate: info@resurrectionob.org
