intraRESOB

The Interweb (intraRESOB) is Resurrection’s internal ministry website and shared planning hub. It is where ministries submit communication requests through C-MAP, coordinate schedules through the Administrative Ministry Calendar, manage serving roles through the Volunteer Schedule, access required Safe Church links, and find shared Internal Ministry Documents.

These five sections form the core of the intraRESOB and provide ministry leaders with one central place for communication, scheduling, compliance, and shared resources. By gathering these tools in one place, the intraRESOB serves as the single source of information that supports clear communication, reduces confusion, and allows ministry leaders to focus on people rather than process.

Volunteer Schedule

The Volunteer Schedule coordinates Greeters, Readers, and Acolytes for weekend worship using Resurrection’s philosophy of “High Participation – Low Obligation.” Many people are invited to participate, and serving is always voluntary.

Volunteers are typically scheduled for one role per weekend, with no more than two roles encouraged. This allows volunteers to participate fully in worship — praying, singing, listening, and being present — rather than feeling responsible for filling every role.

The schedule is created with a three-month outlook and lists volunteers by their first and last initials. Individuals indicate their interests, helping shape the schedule over time.

Rhythm

  • Schedule available on the intraRESOB

  • Monday: reminder emails sent

  • Wednesday: volunteers confirmed

  • End of day Wednesday: schedule finalized for the weekend and updated online on intraRESOB

Training is provided for all roles, and everyone is welcome to participate.

Administrative Ministry Calendar

The Administrative Ministry Calendar is based on the Episcopal Diocese building use calendar, which includes all scheduled activity within the facility, including events hosted by Resurrection OB, diocesan ministries, community groups, and outside rentals.

The purpose of this calendar is to provide a shared planning tool for ministry leaders. It allows Resurrection ministries to coordinate future events while also offering visibility into how the building is being used throughout the week.

By viewing the full building schedule, ministry leaders can better plan gatherings, avoid scheduling conflicts, and understand how the space is shared among the wider community. This helps ensure that ministry planning remains organized, collaborative, and aligned with the overall use of the building.

The Administrative Ministry Calendar serves as a reference and planning resource within the intraRESOB, helping Resurrection leaders coordinate ministry activity with awareness of the broader life of the building.

Safe Church, Safe Communities

Safe Church, Safe Communities training is part of the Episcopal Church’s commitment to creating communities where all people are welcomed, respected, and protected. The training provides guidance on healthy boundaries, abuse prevention, inclusion, and the protection of children, youth, and vulnerable adults.

Within Resurrection OB, this section of the intraRESOB provides links to the required training resources, registration information, and upcoming training opportunities offered by the Diocese. Training is completed online through Praesidium Academy and must be renewed every three years.

Who Needs Training

Safe Church training is required for individuals whose ministry involves leadership, pastoral care, or work with vulnerable populations, including:

  • Clergy and church staff

  • Vestry and elected lay leadership

  • Ministry leaders and pastoral care teams

  • Volunteers working with children, youth, or vulnerable adults

  • Eucharistic Visitors and other licensed lay ministries

Background checks may also be required for volunteers serving in ministries involving children, youth, or vulnerable adults.

Resurrection OB Volunteers

For most weekend worship roles at Resurrection (such as Greeters, Readers, and Acolytes), Safe Church training is not typically required, as these roles do not involve direct ministry with vulnerable populations.

Training is required if a volunteer serves in ministries involving children, youth, pastoral care, or other vulnerable members of the community.
